Thank you for the reminders of how to help children pray. As Children's Ministry Director for our church, I tell children all the time that praying is talking to God. It doesn't have to be long, or it can be. Just telling Him thank you for the food or the day is sufficient, but encouraging them to use more descriptive words helps a lot. We also have children with disabilities in our church, so teaching them the basics is a wonderful way to establish regular prayer for meals, bedtime, snacks, etc. Thanks again!

I read this article out of curiosity, it brought back the days when my children were little and how much fun it was to teach them to pray. Thank-you for this reminder of the importance of keeping it simple, knowing they can say anything to God and thinking of God as a friend! I hope I can remember these points when I have grandkids.
