We love fall! Here are some ideas for fall fun from this month’s issue:
1. Buy small pumpkins. (Local farmers’ markets are a great source.) Decorate them with markers, glitter, paint, whatever you like, and give them to neighbors for decorations.
2. Organize a soccer or flag-football game for the kids in your neighborhood.
3. Visit a local apple orchard or pumpkin patch with your family or friends.
4. If you cut up a pumpkin, scoop out the seeds, rinse them, dry them, toss them with a little bit of oil and salt and bake them. (You can find lots of temperature and time variations on-line.) They make a yummy and nutritious snack.
5. If your church hosts a “trunk or treat” event or you collect treats in your neighborhood,
donate most of your candy to an organization in your community that works with kids in need.
